Works great and is very easy to set up and use. Provides plenty of range.
Great antenna, this is my 2nd one. I use them for scanners for my Mom and daughters. We hang them in the window behind the curtain for the local NXDN and analog UHF public safety frequencies. Works great?
Great service . Antennas are awesome
fast shipping, excellent product
Not what I saw on YouTube. Product is smaller than expected.
Norbert,
I am sorry it was not what you expected for size but the size is critital for it to resonate at the frequency you want in GMRS. Making it bigger would make a ineffective antenna. I have a question for you. Does it not work?
Fast Shipping and it works great. This antenna will be part of a grab/go radio kit that can be used along side the road or wherever I end up. Thanks for the innovative and easily packed product.
Nearly doubled the reach of my hand held.
Works very good I to buy another one

MICKEY D-445...
Amazing!!! I can't get over this Beautie 😵💫. Seriously top notch performance over EVERY other high end, expensive, highly rated antenna. This outperforms everything I've tested, and is a BEAUTIFUL camp flag strung up with your call sign in bright hunter orange on a black fabric.
Amazing performance and looks!!!
I am still in progress of building my pack radio so I haven't tested the antenna yet but I can tell you that it is well made and lightweight. I'll be happy to update this review when the project is complete and I field test the antenna.
extremally convenient , roll it up and it takes up no space at all, In my experience, it does not Transceive quite as well as Ed fongs "J" pole but you can't roll that antenna up and put it in your watch pocket!
Excellent GMRS antenna. Easy to carry and easy to use.
I own three of the four Fara-J antennas that are offered. If you can get any of these antennas in a tree or hanging off a mast you will improve your range. For portable and/or emergency communication these are great. All four can be folded and stacked together and take up less space then your hand.
Sharp receptions and transmissions in a pocketable size.
Amazing product. Works as described --- you'll love it.
This is a must have for your go bag, Rolls up smaller than a deck of cards. It has outperformed my expectations. I ran it up 28 feet on a fiberglass pole. Using 50ft of Messi & Paoloni PotaFlex7 connected to a Wouxun KG-935G HT. There's not a lot of traffic in my area and simplex I talked with a mobile 5 miles away like they were in the room, and I hit 5 repeaters 20 to 25 miles away. VSWR at the radio was 1.19 - Quite an amazing invention.
Only tested TX to a receiver 1/2 mile away but they reported my signal was Q5. It received their GMRS signal well to, but also VHF from some but, not all, operators during an emcomm exercise. I mounted the FARA-J to the top of a 10 ft long piece of PVC pipe,
While the FARA-J is incredibly light weight and compact itself, remember that you need someway of supporting it (paracord, fishing line, mast, duct tape) and a length of coax to connect it to your radio. The higher you mount the antenna, the longer the range, but the bulkier the kit will be.
Just like the totletod this review, it's handy
Hello. I previously tried to send an inquiry regarding which type of adapter would be necessary to hook this antenna up to a Baofeng UV 5G Plus radio. Please contact me through [****]. Thanks.
This antenna is super handy! Works very good. I will definitely buy this again.
