I used my new reel at our ARRL Field Day to make an EFHW for 20 meters. The reel worked quite well. The reel and line are very light and easy to manage. Love the bright orange colour, as it does away with the necessity of using bright marking ribbon take for safety reasons. The carbon fibers unfortunately bulge out of the jacket frequently and it takes a bit of work to get them back in place, but as Ben has previously noted, the bulges (intentionally forced or not) make for a handy tap location. One suggestion I have is to also start manufacturing a somewhat larger reel that would hold approximately 70 ft of RSE line so I could make a EFHW for 40 meters. I tried adding the extra line to my reel, but it just jammed up the reel. All in all a decent product for the intended usage. Keep up the great work Ben!
